This compact oval pot has a softly rounded body, a broad rolled rim, and four low decorative feet. Its proportions give the vessel a grounded and balanced presence, while the pale glazed surface keeps the overall appearance light and quiet.

A continuous landscape unfolds around the exterior. Layered mountains rise in green, blue, and dark brown tones, their textured slopes softened by mist and open water. Trees, rocky banks, and distant landforms appear gradually as the pot is turned, allowing the decoration to be read as one extended scene rather than a series of separate panels.

Near the shoreline, two small figures stand beside the water while a narrow boat passes across the open space. Their restrained scale emphasises the breadth of the surrounding landscape, introducing a sense of travel, observation, and quiet companionship without disturbing the calm composition.

Much of the reverse side is intentionally left open, with pale washes suggesting mist, distance, and an uninterrupted horizon. This generous negative space balances the denser mountain scenery and gives the painting a gentle rhythm around the oval body.

Fine reddish-brown patterns decorate the rim and feet, providing a warm contrast to the cool green-and-blue landscape. The pot has been shaped by hand trimming and painted entirely by hand in overglaze enamels. Variations in the brushwork, colour washes, and arrangement of landscape details make the scene difficult to reproduce exactly.
